Dallas Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle had seen plenty of talented players throughout his tenure in the NBA. Entering the Mavericks' Saturday night matchup against the Golden State Warriors, he was asked about star forward Kevin Durant.

Carlisle had nothing but praise for Durant, calling him the best scorer he has ever seen during his near 30-year coaching career.

That is certainly some high praise from the long-time head coach. Carlisle has seen plenty of talented players on the hardwood. LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, and Kobe Bryant, just to name a few.

Let's not forget that Durant used to see Carlisle frequently when he was a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder, especially in the playoffs. Durant even got under Carlisle's skin at points.

Durant is having another memorable campaign, as he's averaging 27 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists in 34.5 minutes per game. With Durant scheduled to hit free agency, will the Mavericks be in play as a potential suitor for the two-time NBA Finals MVP? Who knows.

Yet, Carlisle knows talent when he sees it, and in his eyes, Durant is one of the greatest of all time.
