Today the Kentucky Wildcats signed their first in-state player since 2013 with 4-star prospect Dontaie Allen putting the pen to paper today.

Allen, currently a senior, is listed as 91st overall on ESPN's prospect rankings but that number should improve by the end of this season. As a junior, the Kentucky native out of Pendleton County High School averaged nearly 32 points a game while nabbing 11.4 rebounds per contest.

Allen joins fellow class of 2019 guard Tyrese Maxey who was signed this past Wednesday as they make the first two signees to join Kentucky for next year.

Growing up in Kentucky, Allen has always bled Wildcat basketball and even has his room painted with Kentucky's blue and white colors. When he got the offer to play for coach John Calipari back in August, Allen had to be excited that his life long dream had come true. For Coach Cal, locking up the Kentucky high school star gave him a similar feeling.

At 6-6 and 200 pounds, Allen certainly has the body type to make an immediate impact at Kentucky.
