​On Saturday, the ​Houston Astros hosted 10 Miracle League teams and children from the Shriners Hospital at Minute Maid Park for one of the best experiences a pro athlete can deliver.

Astros shortstop Carlos Correa and outfielder Josh Reddick took part, hanging out with the kids and attempting to throw quality pitches to the plate.

​​"These kids need a reason to smile every day," Correa said. "Coming to the ballpark and having a good time with a couple of big leaguers, hopefully, some moments they'll never forget."

"These kids are great, they're having a fun time, I'm having a blast," Reddick said. "This is just fantastic."

​​The Shriners Hospital for Children and the Astros Foundation announced some exciting news as well, as they agreed to a five-year extension for their partnership. The annual Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic that will extend through March 2023.
