During his NBA career, Kyrie Irving has had his fair share of air-headed moments with the media -- publicly criticizing LeBron James and he just recently apologized for his bizarre comments on the earth being flat.
Well, after Sunday night's loss to the Trail Blazers, Irving was back at it, only this time he made an absent-minded comment about a veteran presence in the locker room. Check it out:
Kyrie Irving: "I think it would be nice if we had someone that was a 15-year vet, a 14-year vet that could kind of help us race along the regular season and understand it's a long marathon rather than just a full-on sprint.”— Tom Westerholm (@Tom_NBA) November 12, 2018

He continued to say,
Um...earth to Kyrie (pun intended). Are you aware that Al Horford, a 32-year-old, 11-year NBA veteran is a member of the Celtics organization? Arguably the most consistent center on both ends of the floor in the league for the last decade? THE DISRESPECT.
Kyrie Irving: "We come out and clearly we outmatch teams at dang near every position. … When I say outmatch, I mean in terms of the groups we have out there, we pretty much have a mismatch every time out there down the floor."— Tom Westerholm (@Tom_NBA) November 12, 2018
Kyrie the player: entertaining and must-watch television.
Kyrie speaking to the media: unpredictable and flat out erroneous.
These are comments that would more often than not do serious harm to a locker room, BUT Al Horford is a star VETERAN and will know how to handle the situation in a professional manner.
