Sorry college football Saturday, the NBA is TAKING over the sports world today.
The Jimmy Butler saga has finally come to an end, as the Philadelphia 76ers finally pounced on the disgruntled Minnesota star and acquired him in a blockbuster deal, per NBA insider Shams Charania.

Butler and former first-round pick Justin Patton will be heading to Philadelphia in exchange for Robert Covington, Dario Saric, Jerryd Bayless and a second-round pick in 2022.

Even though he was unhappy with the behavior and work ethic of fellow stars Andrew Wiggins and Karl-Anthony Towns, Butler has continued his exceptional play, scoring 21.3 points per game and grabbing 5.2 rebounds. His 2.4 steals currently lead the NBA.
Considering Butler was leaving Minnesota at the end of the year, the Wolves were able to get a pretty darn good haul in return for the superstar.
Though the 76ers weren't on his original list of teams he would re-sign with, they provide him with an opportunity to reach the Finals in 2018.
