It appears Saints wide receiver Cameron Meredith's season is now officially over.
The former Chicago Bear came over on a two-year deal this summer and has not made much of an impact. Catching just 9 balls for 114 yards and a touchdown, the four-year vet will want to put this season behind him as he is set to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his knee.

You've got to think this injury is linked with the Saints decision to sign Dez Bryant.
After losing deep threat Ted Ginn earlier in the season and now Meredith, the Saints had very little depth with their receivers, so pulling the trigger on Bryant was the right move here.
Even after losing their second and third receivers, the Saints still boast one of the best offenses in the league with guys like Thomas as well as Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram out of the backfield.
Losing Meredith for the year hurts, but the Saints should be just fine.
