One of the greatest additions to National Football League consumption is the aspect of the mic'd up player. For years now we've been treated to select NFL stars getting a microphone in their helmets for certain games, so we can see how they act in the heat of the moment. Naturally, some great moments have been recorded over the course of the project, and this week was no different. Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly had a mic on him during his matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he might have been the nicest guy on the field ever.

Week in and week out, it's pretty common to hear players talking trash and swearing as they race around the field competing their rear ends off. Don't get me wrong, that's totally fine and usually hilarious to see. However, Kuechly's on-field personality was quite refreshing.

There's something nice about seeing a guy inquire about the health of his opponents respectfully and pumping up his guys on the sideline with pure class. Throw in the fact that Kuechly is one of the best linebackers in the league and it looks like Carolina has the full package in Luke.

The NFL needs to keep these videos coming in. It's just another great way to make the community feel closer to their favorite players, and for casual fans to develop new favorites as well.

Way to go, Luke.
