The Green Bay Packers recently traded one of their best defenders on the team in safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. He is headed to the Washington Redskins, where he will make that secondary even better than it already is. Or will he?
An NFL scout recently came out and said that Clinton-Dix is “just so incredibly inconsistent.” This comes after questions circulated around the Packers as to why the franchise decided to trade away the Pro Bowl safety. This statement may not be inaccurate if we look back on the safety's history.
Clinton-Dix made the Pro Bowl in 2016 after he recorded six interceptions and played a huge role in the team's late-season run. 2017 was a different story for the safety. He gave up play after play and at times, he seemed to have given up on the team and showed little effort. He knew coming into 2018, it may be his last year with the Packers.

“Right now, I’m playing each and every game like it’s my last. I don’t think I’m going to be here next year,” Clinton-Dix said when interviewed by the Wisconsin State Journal earlier this season. “That’s how I look at it. I just (have to) be honest with myself. You’ve got to play it game-by-game.
Now, Clinton-Dix will get a fresh start with a new team that appears to already have a connection with the former Packer. He and D.J. Swearinger may become the best safety tandem in the league by season's end.
