After starting off the Arizona Fall League as hot as you can get as a baseball player, Toronto Blue Jays top prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has just accomplished something that he hasn't done in over a year.
Guerrero is spending time with the Surprise Saguaros, where he hit safely in his first 13 games before going hitless in back-to-back games, something he didn't do once in 2018.
After a 13-game hitting streak to start the AFL, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. goes hitless in back-to-back games. Times he did that during the 2018 regular seasons: 0— Kelsie Heneghan (@Kelsie_Heneghan) November 1, 2018
How dare he go into a bit of a slump! This man should be going 4-for-4 every single game while hitting for the cycle and stealing every base.
Honestly, the Blue Jays should just cut him at this point. What good is he if he isn't producing every single night? Yankee legend Joe DiMaggio had a 56-game hitting streak, and with MLB analysts talking so highly of Guerrero Jr. every chance they get, we should all expect him to do the same.
All joking aside, the man is an unbelievable talent. The fact that it's November and it's his first time going hitless in multiple consecutive games this season is something that should be looked upon as a remarkable achievement.
Yeah, it's safe to say he's pretty good. His dad, who was one of the best hitters the MLB has ever seen, has to be proud of him.
With how electric Guerrero Jr. is, we'll all be tuning in to Blue Jays games when it's time for him to make his major league debut.
