Chicago Bears' quarterback Mitch Trubisky knows that in your second year in the NFL, you sometimes need to go above and beyond to gain favor with your fanbase. He did just that on Sunday before his team's bout with the visiting New York Jets. Happy Halloween, Bears fans!

From the white shirt and tie, right down to the classic Bears' sweater, Trubisky spared no detail in his pregame outfit.

Reminding Bears fans of legendary head coach Mike Ditka is always a fantastic idea in the Windy City. The man won an NFL Championship with the team as a player in 1963 and coached the Bears to a Super Bowl in 1985, leading what is regarded as one of the greatest teams and defenses of all time.

Ditka is so popular in the area, he even considered a run for one of Illinois' Senate seats in 2004...against future president Barack Obama!

This year's Bears team may be sitting at 3-3 on the season, but are looking somewhat like a Ditka-coached squad. The story of the 2018 Bears has been their defense as they lead the NFL in interceptions with 11 and are top-10 in both turnover differential (+7) and sacks (19).

Trubisky has also been a pleasant surprise this season completing 65.9 percent of his passes and throwing for 1,594 yards and 13 touchdowns against six interceptions.

If the Bears keep playing as well as they are and channeling their inner Ditkas, they may have a shot at a playoff run this year.
