We all expected a day of highlights as No. 9 Florida took on No. 7 Georgia, and that's exactly what we got. With the Gators winning the last three matchups between the teams, all eyes were on Georgia to make a statement.
And that's exactly what they did.
The game started off on a mostly even footing, though Georgia got off to a 10 point lead by the end of the first quarter after a 21-yard field-goal by Rodrigo Blankenship, as well as a quick TD pass from QB Jake Fromm.
In the second quarter, Florida got back in the game on a 76-yard drive resulting in a one-yard TD run by Feleipe Franks. Georgia kicked another field goal to give themselves a 13-7 lead.
In the third quarter, both teams came out strong, each scoring a quick touchdown to make the score 20-14 in Georgia's favor.
The game looked to remain competitive from that point, but Georgia took off. They went on to score two more TD's in the fourth, ultimately winning the game 36-17.
