With college basketball is on the horizon, preseason rankings are prepping fans to gear up for another exciting season.

KenPom's unconventional preseason rankings were posted Saturday morning and put the Kansas Jayhawks, Duke Blue Devils and North Carolina Tar Heels as the top three.

Rounding out the top 10 are: Virginia, Villanova, Nevada, Kentucky, Syracuse, Gonzaga and West Virginia.

The Jayhawks have propelled to the No. 1 spot thanks to the returning talent of Lagerald Vick and Udoka Azubuike. Former Memphis forward Dedric Lawson and his brother, KJ, are finally coming off the bench for the first time since spring of 2017. Also, don't forget about top recruits Quentin Grimes and Devon Dotson. Yeah, the Jayhawks are stacked this year.

The Blue Devils' biggest draws are freshmen Zion Williamson, Cam Reddish and RJ Barrett, of course. If the freshmen can adjust to the college game quickly, the entire country will be on notice.

Don't sleep on the Tar Heels, though, who will have a dangerous lineup including Coby White, replacing Joel Berry, and will have the help of top freshman Nassir Little and Luke Maye. His preseason All-American selection should motivate him to step up for the team.

Villanova may have won the National Championship, but they are expected to have a slight drop off after losing four players to the NBA draft. They are still favored to win the Big East, but getting back to the title game will be rough.

Seriously, can the season just start already?
