After what happened at Minnesota Timberwolves practice between Jimmy Butler and his teammates, it seems like a good idea to trade him and move on before the regular season starts next week.
The Miami Heat have been heavily linked to Butler in recent weeks, but according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, Miami is prepared to move on and not resume trade talks for Butler.

A deal between the two sides that would send Butler to Miami was reportedly close, but it didn't happen and the Heat are ready to move on and they haven't initiated any further conversations.
Now, a deal is still possible, but Miami isn't going to be the ones that initiate it. Could Butler's outburst at practice this week scared the Heat away?

During these talks, it appears the Timberwolves were targeting Bam Adebayo, guards Goran Dragic and Josh Richardson and forward Justise Winslow, as well as a first-round pick.
Now, though, Miami is looking ahead to its future without Jimmy B on the court with them.
