With running back Jay Ajayi being placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL, the Eagles are desperately looking for some depth in the backfield for the rest of the year.
As reports started swirling of LeSean McCoy potentially returning to Philadelphia via trade, another rumor surfaced of what the Bills are asking for. And it is RIDICULOUS.
Bills asking for a 2nd and 3rd round pick in exchange for LeSean McCoy— Anthony Gargano (@AnthonyLGargano) October 9, 2018
Can we take a second to acknowledge that now 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo was traded from the Patriots for just a second-round pick.
How could it be possible that Buffalo actually views a starting quarterback not as valuable as a 30-year-old running back?
They're viewing McCoy highly for practically no reason. The guy doesn't even have a touchdown on the season, clearly he isn't making much of an impact for their struggling offense.
There isn't a staff member on the Eagles that isn't mimicking Stanley Hudson's face right now.
With McCoy's injuries, it's seen backup running back Chris Ivory receiving a lot of reps in key short distance situations. Factor in his legal issues and Shady isn't worth the trouble for that price.
If McCoy isn't even a three-down back, then he shouldn't be considered for anything more than a fourth-round pick.
