Is Jimmy Butler
The star made his feelings known when he requested a trade from the Minnesota Timberwolves, also demanding that he be dealt to either New York team or the LA Clippers. Later on, he added the Miami Heat
However, it seems like that interest is being tested a bit by the Timberwolves, even after talks began to "heat" up.
The Wolves and Heat were making significant progress on a Jimmy Butler trade this week, league sources say, before deal changes proposed by Minnesota led to a breakdown in talks— Marc Stein (@TheSteinLine) October 4, 2018
Apparently, the two teams were making some strong strides in getting a deal for Butler done this past week. Unfortunately, Minnesota had some ideas that Miami didn't quite agree with, and the talks came to a halt right there.
Butler has averaged 20 points or more since the 2014-15 season and also produces on the boards and with helpers. The star is only 28. Nonetheless, Adrian Wojnarowski insists trade talks remain ongoing.
Miami, Minnesota have been consistently engaged in Jimmy Butler talks for several days, with Heat pushing Timberwolves for an answer today on a revised offer, league sources tell ESPN. Miami is the favorite to land Butler and is also his No. 1 preferred destination. While we can't possibly know how far the two teams' negotiations went, it's fair to assume their rift won't completely destroy their communication. Miami is still a safe bet.
Butler will go. It's just a matter of when.
