Get those shoulder pads on, Alshon Jeffery...you're going to need them.

For weeks now, Eagles fans have been patiently waiting to hear the magical words from Doug Pederson letting them know their star wide receiver has been cleared for contact. The Eagles have managed to start off the year 2-1, but the offense hasn't looked the same.

Now, though, they're about to get one of the most important pieces back on the field as Jeffery has officially been cleared following his offseason shoulder surgery.

His status may be up in the air for Sunday's tilt with the Titans, but the fact the 6-foot-3, 218-pounder is now even closer to returning is welcome news for the staff.

Last season, Jeffery emerged as the clear No. 1 option for Carson Wentz and Nick Foles, hauling in 57 receptions for 789 yards and nine touchdowns.

Now, he'll look to reconnect with Wentz, as the two hope to go on a deep run and get this team back to the big game in February.

Will his return to top form begin on Sunday? We'll find out in the coming days.
