Rams fans were groaning by Sunday evening when they heard news suggesting cornerback Marcus Peters might have to miss multiple games with a calf injury sustained against the Chargers. With a short week ahead -- the Rams are taking on the Vikings on Thursday Night Football -- the odds of Peters being resilient enough for a quick turnaround looked slim.
Luckily, the latest buzz contends that the talented DB might actually beat the odds and play.

This would be a coup for Los Angeles, who can't afford to mess around up against Kirk Cousins and the Vikings' stable of capable skill players.
The Rams are 3-0, but with fellow cornerback Aqib Talib requiring now needing ankle surgery, Peters' durability became all the more important.
Fans in SoCal will now breathe a sigh of relief that they've apparently avoided a disaster in their defensive backfield.
