The Los Angeles Rams have gotten off to a scorching hot 3-0 start this year after a huge offseason free agency haul.
Unfortunately for LA, one of these prized acquisitions, cornerback Aqib Talib, will be out for an undetermined amount of time as he recovers from ankle surgery scheduled for Thursday.
#Rams coach Sean McVay tells reporters says that CB Aqib Talib will have ankle surgery on Thursday. The timetable on his return will be determined following suegery.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 25, 2018
#Rams CB Marcus Peters is believed to have suffered a calf strain that could put him out for 2-4 weeks, I’m told. His MRI to confirm is this morning, but the initial tests show no structural damage.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) September 24, 2018
This is bad news for Los Angeles as they will have a hard time stopping Kirk Cousins and the rest of Minnesota's offense if neither cornerback is able to go.
The Vikings are also dealing with injuries in their secondary and with news of their star pass rusher Everson Griffen likely missing Thursday's contest as well, we may have a shootout in Cali.
