The Kansas City Chiefs are off to a blazing hot start this NFL season. They currently sit at 3-0, their offense is top 10 in multiple categories, and Patrick Mahomes is an absolute stud. They have clearly established themselves as one of the top three teams in the league.
However, while their offense looks great, the defense still has some question marks, particularly in their secondary.

Perhaps they should be cut some slack considering that they traded All-Pro cornerback Marcus Peters to the Rams and are currently without their best player, safety Eric Berry, who has been nursing a sore heel since Aug. 11.
Coming into today, they were giving up 7.6 yards per passing attempt and were ranked last in first downs allowed.
If reports are accurate #Chiefs are negotiating with #Seahawks about an Earl Thomas trade. The deal basically could mean Marcus Peters for Earl Thomas? KC will have to give up 2019 2nd rounder at a minimum.— Chiefs Insider (@ChiefsInsider) September 23, 2018
The Chiefs should do what they can to make the trade for Seahawks disgruntled safety Earl Thomas. Sure, they'd have to give up a decent amount to get him, but the pros outweigh the cons. The tandem of Berry and Thomas together would be unstoppable, while also elevating the other members of the group.
And in the process of doing that, they would go from below average to great.
