The Jimmy Butler sweepstakes is heating up by the hour, with Dan Gilbert and Cleveland as the latest potential suitor.
Gilbert and co. is reportedly intrigued with a Kevin Love-Butler dynamic duo, although it's unclear whether or not Butler would consider signing in Cleveland long-term. For now, the Cavs owner is simply doing his due diligence.

Cleveland joins the likes of Brooklyn, New York and the Clippers as teams that could feasibly make a run at the Wolves star guard. Gilbert also played a key role in landing Kevin Love to pair with the already-formidable Kyrie Irving/LeBron James pairing.
It's also unclear what assets the Cavs could realistically send Minnesota, although they're more than likely unwilling to deal this year's first-round pick, Collin Sexton.
Cleveland has no reason to part ways with their best young assets, but pairing some expiring contracts with first-round draft picks will be key in prying Butler away from the Western Conference.
