Senior Michigan running back Karan Higdon missed last week's game against SMU due to an undisclosed injury, but it seems like he saved whatever hunger he had for last week and decided to pile it on Nebraska this week. He simply started the game with 92 yards on three carries, with a 44-yard touchdown the highlight of the three.

The Wolverines' other top back, Chris Evans, did play against SMU and rushed 18 times for 88 yards. However, midway through the fourth quarter, he limped into the locker room.

He didn't suit up for Saturday's game against Nebraska, so Higdon will have to carry the load with fullback Ben Mason and sophomore back Tru Wilson to help back him up.

But there doesn't seem to be a problem.

Higdon is instrumental to the Wolverines' success this season, and after their opening week loss against Notre Dame, they'll need more electric starts like this from him to have any shot at the College Football Playoff.
