Seattle Mariners' slugger Nelson Cruz reached a career milestone tonight with his 1,000th RBI on a monster shot to left field.  The homer came off Joey Lucchesi in the bottom of the fifth against the San Diego Padres.

Nelson Cruz is 37 years old in his fourth year with Seattle and was an AL All-Star reserve.  Although he's getting up there in years, Nelson can still hit dingers with the best of them.

Cruz has now hit 30 or more homers in every season since 2014.  His old legs may not be as adept at playing the field anymore, but his slugging is still through the roof.  Although it's looking improbable, Cruz is still trying to launch the Mariners into a Wild Card spot.

Cruz joins a list tonight of under 300 MLB players to hit 1,000 or more RBI. Congrats, Nellie!
