A scary scene took place at George Washington University today, as the Jumbotron in the Charles E. Smith Center collapsed onto the basketball court unexpectedly.

The school's Twitter account shared the photos of the scene and updated everybody that the jumbotron was undergoing maintenance before falling and that everybody involved was okay.

The court has been used frequently lately, with the USA women's national basketball team playing Japan there next Monday. The team was supposed to practice there on Wednesday.

The Washington Mystics have been using the Smith Center as their temporary home during their 2018 WNBA playoff run. The team will play Game 3 of the WNBA Finals at Georgetown University.

The Smith Center is home of George Washington's varsity sports, which includes men's and women's basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, swimming, diving and water polo teams.

We are all just very thankful that nobody got hurt.
