Adrian Peterson is not ready to walk away from the game of football, and honestly, why should he? Already a sure future Hall of Famer, AD has gas left in the tank and he plans on burning it all until empty. That "empty" point could be further away than anticipated, because the Washington Redskins are utilizing the 33-year-old early and often. His latest one-yard score may not seem like a big play, but it certainly was, considering the touchdown was the 100th rushing score of his career.
That moves him into a tie for seventh all-time with two greats in Marshall Faulk and Shaun Alexander.
Peterson has looked great Sunday evening in Week 1, and there's no reason head coach Jay Gruden will stop feeding him if he continues to fight for those tough yards. If history tells us anything, we're sure that he will.
