My goodness, this is one way to handle a heartbreaking loss.
On Saturday night, the Florida Gators suffered a stunning defeat at the hands of the Kentucky Wildcats, ending a 31-year streak in the process.
For one Gator, he decided enough was enough. That’s right, a little over 30 minutes after the loss, running back Adarius Lemons announced he’s transferring out of the program.
Losing 27-16 wasn’t the only L Florida took on the night. For Lemons, the running back didn’t receive any carries on Saturday, but he was active on special teams.
Being buried on the RB depth chart was clearly frustrating for him, but the embarrassing loss by the Gators turned out to be the final straw.
This obviously isn’t the first time a player has transferred after a loss, but he was so quick to do so. He obviously took the time to prepare his Twitter statement, too. Did he do it right after he got out of the shower? Was he even dressed when he posted his tweet?
Florida #Gators RB Adarius Lemons just tweeted that he is transferring after the second game of the season. He did not get an offensive touch tonight. UF took a big chance on him. Wow.— OnlyGators.com 🐊 Florida Gators news (@onlygators) September 9, 2018
Things really went from 0 to 100 here.
