Sometimes you Purdue, and other times you Purdon't. With just over two minutes left in their season-opening Big Ten contest against Northwestern, the Boilermakers had a chance to get the ball back in the hands of their high-powered offense with just over two minutes remaining. But it wasn't meant to be, as this young Purdue defense let their emotions get the best of them, committing a truly stupid personal foul on a 3rd-and-11 that would've likely knocked Northwestern out of field-goal range.
And now you know why we call them Purdon't. pic.twitter.com/uXIK6kvQAL— Timothy Burke (@bubbaprog) August 31, 2018
Purdue's defense came up huge, clogging the hole and stacking up Northwestern RB Jeremy Larkin for a loss of at least a yard. Yet, due to some extracurricular activities after the play, the Wildcats were gifted a first down and the ability to milk the game clock down to triple zeroes. Ouch.
While college football fans were furious at the call, it was technically the appropriate action, as the Purdue defense slammed Larkin down to the ground well after the whistle was blown.

College football is back, and you officially know nothing.
