As the preseason reaches its final week, teams are hoping their injured players are turning the corner and will be ready for Week 1. Among those players is Alshon Jeffery, who Eagles fans have been worrying about for the majority of the preseason. Jeffery is easily Philadelphia's top target and will be heavily relied upon, especially if Carson Wentz can't be ready in time for Week 1.

And here comes head coach Doug Pederson with some good news for Eagles nation.

While the receiver hasn't been given an update on whether or not he'll be able to play Week 1, his progression seems to be pleasing Pederson and Co. Jeffery is still on the Physically Unable to Perform list and will have to miss the first six weeks if he isn't removed prior to the start of the regular season.

The Philadelphia offense has been a mess thus far with Nick Foles under center, prompting some frightened fans to panic about the team. Jeffery would certainly be a welcomed sight for an offense trying to get back into the rhythm that won them a Super Bowl last season.

Hopefully, the wide receiver recovers quickly and we can see an Eagles team at its finest soon.
