Too soon Madden. Too Soon. In last week's preseason game against the New England Patriots, highly touted Washington Redskins rookie Derrius Guice tore his ACL, sidelining him for the season. If Redskins fans weren't already crushed about the news of Guice's injury, Madden 19 certainly rubbed it in their faces. In one Madden user's game, it seems as though Guice tore more than just his ACL against, you guessed it, the Patriots again.

I count about four leg snaps, but my calculations may be wrong on that one. As to how video game Guice will ever walk again, nobody knows.

Losing Guice in real life has to be devastating for the Redskins offense.

The LSU product was having a solid training camp, slotted to be the starting running back before going down with the injury. Now, Washington has to rely on their unproven backfield of Chris Thompson, Rob Kelly, and Samaje Perine (who sprained his ankle yesterday against the New York Jets).

Let's just hope Guice makes a strong return in 2019.
