Whether you're the biggest supporter of the Celtics or absolutely despise any team that resides in Boston, it seems like everyone is rooting for Gordon Hayward. His gruesome injury was absolutely devastating, as his promising campaign with Brad Stevens ended before it even began. Although his road to recovery hasn't been easy, the All-Star forward is nearing his long-awaited return to the hardwood. Instead of showcasing his smooth jumper, Hayward is proving that he can still throw down nasty dunks.
He might not have regained his original bounce, but Hayward should be pleased with his overall strides.
The Celtics have the roster to compete and possibly win the NBA Finals, as Hayward and Kyrie Irving will return from season-ending injuries. Most of the love during the postseason was given to Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum, but make no mistake, Hayward is absolutely adored in Boston.
If he can continue attacking the rim and finishing through contact, the prized possession of Boston's 2017 offseason will easily prove his worth this upcoming season.
