Boston Celtics rookie Robert Williams caught a lot of heat earlier in the summer for being late to practice so early in his career, so he seems to be taking every precaution to make sure that it doesn't happen again.
Robert Williams said he just got a place right next to the Celtics new practice facility. “Two-minute walk, said Williams who laughed and added, “Can’t be late!”— Chris Forsberg (@ESPNForsberg) August 12, 2018
Gotta love the rookie being able to laugh at himself. But he's on thin ice now after a few slip ups.
Williams was taken out of Texas A&M with the 27th overall selection in the 2018 NBA Draft. He is a 6-10 energy guy with an absurd 7-6 wingspan. On a team with plenty of perimeter scoring and ball handling Williams could serve as a quality role guy off of the bench.
Williams is known for his explosive interior play and tenacious rebounding. He was also named the Defensive Player of the Year in the SEC in both 2017 and 2018.
The Boston Celtics will open their season on opening night of the NBA season against the Philadelphia 76ers.
