Sam Dekker is now a Cleveland Cavalier after the Los Angeles Clippers moved him in a recent trade.
The finances regarding the deal were still lingering, though, and the Cavs and Clippers have finally sorted that out.
The Clippers get a $2.76 trade exception for Dekker - also sending $1,247,494 to the Cavs in the deal @BBallInsiders— Eric Pincus (@EricPincus) August 10, 2018
The Cavs stand to acquire Dekker, the draft rights to 33-year-old Renaldo Seibutus, and an additional $1.2 million in the deal.
The Clippers will get the draft rights to 34-year-old
But fans enjoyed themselves making fun of a typo in Eric Pincus' tweet.
Wait two dollars and 36 cents? They couldn’t even fit a subway sandwich in that exception — Kal-El (@p_mind8) August 10, 2018
Dekker is headed into his fourth season in the NBA after being drafted 18th overall out of the University of Wisconsin by the Houston Rockets in 2015.
In his three NBA seasons thus far, Dekker has played in 153 games, averaging 5.3 points per contest on 48 percent shooting. Dekker should be in line for more playing time this season on a rebuilding Cavs team as he hopes to show what he's got heading into the last year of his contract.
