Kentucky's 2019 recruiting lass just got another big boost.
Kahlil Whitney, a five-star small forward out of Roselle, New Jersey, has committed to the Wildcats. This gives UK two of the nation's top 15 recruits, more than any other school in the country for the class of 2019.
The 6-7, 200 pound wing is the second-best in his class at his position according to ESPN. He is also rated as third-best player in the state of New Jersey and the seventh-best player in the East region.
Whitney joins a 2019 Kentucky group that also includes top shooting guard Tyrese Maxey and small forward Dontaie Allen. The Wildcats now have the No. 2 rated class according to 247sports, trailing only trail USC.
Kentucky essentially trading the DJ Jeffries decommitment for the Kahlil Whitney commitment. They also continue to use that NJ/NY pipeline with Whitney being from Roselle Catholic— Bobby Reagan (@BarstoolReags) August 8, 2018
After a so-so year in 2018 by Kentucky's standards, John Calipari is getting this team back on the right track with great pickups on the recruiting trail. They still have offers on the table for James Wiseman, Cole Anthony and Jaden McDaniels, all of whom are widely considered the best at their positions in the nation. Yep, it just keeps rolling on for Big Blue Nation.
