This is exactly the performance the Yankees needed after their dreadful showing in Boston this past weekend. They couldn't have been given a better matchup against the Chicago White Sox, one of the worst teams in baseball. Up 4-0 late, Gleyber Torres and Neil Walker weren't done shoving it in Chicago's face.

Gleyber CRANKED that for his 18th homer of the season. Then came Disco Neil.

That one was smoked out to dead center to give the Yanks a 7-0 lead.

On top of that, Lance Lynn tossed a gem and has yet to give up an earned run since joining the team. The veteran right-hander also has 14 strikeouts in 11.2 innings, which should give the rotation the depth it needs.

Great rebound victory for New York.
