Not great, Sean!
After losing a no-hitter in the top of the ninth with two outs and two strikes on Sunday, Sean Newcomb's day hasn't gotten much better. Despite the victory and unbelievable performance, the Braves' win was bittersweet with that heartbreaking ending, and now, like Josh Hader, Newcomb will have some explaining to do with some old NSFW tweets being dug up.
Spoiler alert: they are homophobic and a touch racist.

Goodness gracious. Now, for the racial ones:

Despite these being disgusting, we have another situation on our hands with the incident occurring seven years ago, when Newcomb was 18 years old. It's still unacceptable, but like Josh Hader, we can't really be using this to define their character when they were clearly kids being idiots, for whatever reason.
If there's hope in any of this, it's that Newcomb immediately saw these surface and asked the Braves to re-open the media session so he could issue an apology.
Sean Newcomb said he saw the tweets resurfaced when he was on his phone after today’s game and he wanted to get ahead of it and apologize, so he asked the #Braves if he could meet with media now to issue statement.

Well done, Sean. If there's any possible way to make the situation a bit better, it's by doing this.
But there's no doubt he's going to hear A LOT of criticism and backlash over the next few days. I think for the sake of humanity, everyone needs to go back and clean out their Twitter accounts to check for this short-sighted trash from one's younger years and at the same time ban trolls that are digging up these tweets just because that person in trending in the news.
