This isn't exactly an easy matchup for San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman, but he should have gotten toasted like this. Lining up against wide receiver Marquise Goodwin, who is one of the fastest guys in the league, Sherman was no match.
Sherman was one of the biggest names to move this offseason as the long time Seattle Seahawk decided to suit up for division rival San Francisco this year. However, the team certainly didn't sign him for plays like this. He might still have some work to do in terms of getting back up to speed after missing all of last season with a ruptured Achilles.
The Niners will have an intriguing team headlined by quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who has still yet to lose a start in the NFL.
With John Lynch running the football operations, 49er fans are hoping that the team can be restored to their former greatness. While they managed to make a Super Bowl appearance in 2013 and had a solid run at the beginning of the decade, they failed to cash in for a Super Bowl title.
The Niners will start their season off in Week 1 on the road against the Minnesota Vikings.
