The Washington Nationals find themselves more than halfway through the MLB season with a record of 51-51, placing them currently seven games behind the first-place Phillies.

With this season falling well short of expectations, fans and media members alike across Nats Nation are calling for a rebuild. And the single biggest name on the roster, superstar right fielder Bryce Harper, who could reportedly be among those on the move.

This would be an absolutely fantastic piece of business by the Los Angeles Dodgers, especially after bringing in superstar infielder Manny Machado over from the Orioles. The defending NL pennant-winners are clearly serious about finishing the mission and getting back to the World Series, and Harper is a massively intriguing option if the Nationals are willing to listen to actual offers.

The one big drawback Dodgers here, however, is that both Harper and Machado are free agents at the conclusion of the season, and there is absolutely no way the organization will be able to re-sign both. There just isn't.

But Manny Machado and Bryce Harper are somehow able to line up for the same ballclub, the rest of the baseball world will immediately be placed on notice.
