Aaron Judge didn't defend his Home Run Derby title on Monday, but we can safely report his power his still legendary around these parts. Judge got the American League on the board with a solo shot off Max Scherzer, and there was no doubt about this one.

Judge is, perhaps not so quietly, putting together a great campaign thus far in the Bronx. Yankee fans are still sick to their stomachs to be sitting behind Boston in the standings, but Judge's increase in plate awareness, OBP and batting average makes him an even more dangerous threat in their lineup.

Scherzer, who was in his second inning of work, made the mistake of leaving a ball middle-in to Judge, who disposed of it into the seats. While the home crowd won't like seeing their ace give up a dinger to a Yankee, it's still a valiant effort from Scherzer, who struck out the first two batters he saw.

Leave it to Judge to play spoiler.
