WHAT IS GOING ON?! First, the Athletics scored four runs in the bottom of the ninth to force extras against the Astros, then they went ahead 5-4 in the top of the 11th thanks to Stephen Piscotty's solo blast. But then came the bottom of the 11th, and we have no idea what's happening.

Alex Bregman hit a dribbler that was foul and then rolled fair, and the ball was picked up by A's catcher Jonathan Lucroy, who managed to completely miss Bregman with the tag and then airmail the ball into right field, which scored the winning run for Houston.

A's closer Blake Treinen came in to seal the game, but he walked the leadoff batter and then gave up a single to put runners on the corners with nobody out. A sac fly scored the game-tying run, and then this atrocity happened to seal Oakland's fate.

The umps had to review the play to see if Bregman interfered with the tag and/or the throw, but the ruling came back clean

Here's another angle of the idiocy.

If you paid to attend that game tonight, you got your money's worth. It's absolutely impossible that you weren't fulfilled in some way.
