The title of best high school basketball player in the nation could be changing hands soon.

247sports recently released its updated rankings for the to high school basketball players in the class of 2020. Jalen Green remains the best player on the list, but a worthy challenger has emerged in Evan Mobley.

Standing at 6-11, Mobley is a talented two-way player who showed a lot of promise at the USA Basketball U17 trials. He showcases incredible length and has dangerous offensive skills.

"If Mobley's progression over the next two years is anything like it's been over the last two, it's scary to think about what kind of player he could become," 247sports analyst Josh Gershon said.

He's shown the most interest in USC, UCLA and Stanford, with the Trojans emerging as the favorite

Despite his upside, 247sports is still sticking with Jalen Green, a guard from Fresno, CA. Green is an explosive athlete with a scoring package that's getting better as well as impressive passing and vision. He also has the potential to be a very good multi-positional defender.

Green currently has offers from schools such as Arizona, Oregon, Kansas and UCLA.

Green holds the top spot at the moment, but it seems likely that slot will flip several times between now and signing day 2020.
