2018 is not the year for Brandon Browner.

Less than a month after he was arrested and pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of battery and cruelty to a child by inflicting injury, the ex-NFL defensive back is in the news for all the wrong reasons again. The former Pro Bowl cornerback was arrested Sunday following a police chase in Azusa, California.

Officers in the La Verne Police Department responded to a call at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning in which a man broke into a house by breaking a locked window. Browner was identified as the intruder and allegedly physically forced the victim back into her residence when she attempted to flee.

The former NFL pro allegedly physically harmed and made threats to kill the victim inside the residence. Browner fled the scene before police arrived, but the La Verne PD alleges that the 33-year-old took a Rolex watch valued at $20,000 from the victim before leaving the scene.

Browner was once one of the members of the Seattle Seahawks' "Legion of Boom," but things took a turn for the worse with his playing career and off-the-field life.
