While much of the basketball focus has been on free agency, tragedy struck one of the NBA's former players late Friday night.
Former UCLA basketball star and Sacramento Kings 35th overall pick in 2011 Tyler Honeycutt was killed in a shootout with the police on Friday night.
UPDATE: We can confirm that during the initial encounter the suspect fired a shot out of the residence and officers returned fire. No officers were injured and it’s unknown if the suspect was struck.
