Yeah, Thunder fans. He's staying.
As the momentum has increasingly moved in the direction of LeBron James opting for the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency, the guy many once thought would be a shoo-in to join him there appears to be set to do nothing of the sort.
According to ESPN's Royce Young, Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook is throwing a big party in Oklahoma City tonight. And Paul George, with whom he famously teamed up this past season, will reportedly be attending.
For those who somehow forgot, NBA free agency begins at midnight tonight.
The timing of absolutely none of this is an accident.

If George does in fact put pen to paper for the Thunder, he's likely to sign a LeBron-esque "one-plus-one" deal -- one year and then a player option for a second -- at essentially maximum allowable rate. Say what you want about the look and feel of the Thunder this past season, but PG13 and Russ just get along.

Get strapped in, folks. You may as well pour yourself a beverage right now so you're good and ready right at the stroke of 12:00.
