Wizards fans, this could be the end of an era. According to a report from Ben Mehic, a person close to Marcin Gortat believes he'll be traded, and it could come as soon as tonight.

Gortat has been a tremendous contributor to the Wizards over the years.

However, both sides know it's time to go their separate ways. After some turmoil within the Wizards locker room last year, the veteran big-man's relationship with the Wizards may have reached its limit.

Reportedly, the Dallas Mavericks could be interested in his services. Gortat averaged 8.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game on 51.8 percent shooting. Wizards fans shouldn't expect a large return for their center.

Gortat is 33-years-old and on a slow and steady decline in terms of numbers. He's still an effective player, but the value in a trade won't match the value he gives on the court.

Gortat being moved is not only in his best interest, it's in the Wizards' best interest as well.
