Though the Los Angeles Dodgers top prospect Dennis Santana has landed on the 60-day DL with a shoulder injury, his promotion from Double-A Tulsa at the beginning of 2018 secured him a nice bonus. Well deserved, considering his journey to the Majors starting as a 16-year-old in the Dominican Republic was a long path filled with hard work and determination.

He took to his personal Twitter to post a heartfelt message of just how grateful he was upon receiving his first MLB check.

Though Santana struggled in his MLB debut, he was a stud in the minors in 2018 pitching to an impressive 2.56 ERA and 1.03 WHIP in 38.2 innings. He'll once again be on a tough road to battle back from his rotator cuff injury, but at just 22 years old, he'll have plenty of time to make his impact.

Judging by his message and solid character, we know he is ready to overcome this recent obstacle, and the baseball world is rooting for him.
