We've all been guilty of wanting something really badly. Like a job, for instance. And there's nothing like taking initiative, putting your best foot forward and contacting the company to ask about the position.
Provided there's actually, you know, a job opening. A similar situation just occurred in the college football recruiting process.
I have to say, I really admire the determination of Anthony Gordon. And I bet the Virginia coaching staff does too. Coaches always talk about desiring players who really want to play for their program.
Maybe a scholarship offer should be made just to show that coaches really mean what they say. Okay, perhaps that's not such a great idea.
Still, this recruiting situation could have been handled better.
I'm pulling for the kid. I'm sure he's talented and will get offers from other schools. Virginia, or some other program, should give him a chance.
