Dansby Swanson's bat is coming along nicely, but what's really become a strength of the Atlanta Braves shortstop is his glove work. With one out in the fifth inning, Mets catcher Kevin Plawecki hit a ball up the middle that Swanson swallowed up, spun around and threw perfectly to Freddie Freeman. Check out this web gem:

All of his tools were on display. Great range to get the ball, nice body control to spin around, and a strong, accurate throw to get the runner at first.

Swanson had 20 errors last season, many of which were mental blunders that can easily be fixed. Well, the former No. 1 overall pick has done just that and is one of the best defensive shortstops in the National League.
