There's nothing better than a player with a positive attitude and a love for the game. The Mariners battled and came away with a big 6-3 win over the Angels on Tuesday night.
With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, M's closer Edwin Diaz faced off against Mike Trout. Trout, who hit two dingers earlier in the game, has played some great baseball during this series at Safeco Field, breaking records.
But, Diaz had his number, striking out the superstar to close the game.

"When I struck him out he started laughing too. I think he is the best hitter, the best player in the game. I strike him out, the best team happened to finish the game. Today I win."
That's a priceless reaction.
Diaz pitched a solid ninth inning and helped his team win the game. This was his 24th save out of 27 chances, and his sixth straight. He has 77 career saves and is in only his third year in the bigs.
Striking out Mike trout to win the game is the most satisfying thing I can think of— Travis (@fullchromelogic) June 13, 2018
Striking out Trout after all the major success he's had on your home field sounds like something to get excited about, but Diaz definitely had the calmest, coolest and most mature reaction about it.
A possible legend in the making, no doubt.
