Nelson Cruz has been a force to be reckoned with at the plate since joining the Seattle Mariners in 2015. After having a slow start to the season, Cruz has been crushing balls out of parks like it's nothing.

Cruz has been feeling it, homering in four of his last six games, which has brought him atop the MLB since 2015.

When asked about Cruz's recent performance, Mariners manager Scott Servais replied, "I think we'll look up at the end of the year and we'll get a typical Nelson Cruz year here. He was off to a slow start early, everybody was all, where is this going? But he's righted the ship."

Cruz had his first multi-home run game of the season last night against the Angels. He tied things up with a two-run shot then gave the team the lead with a solo home run, further extending the M's lead over the Astros in the AL West.

The Mariners could be a serious contender this year in large part due to the recent red-hot bats. If Cruz can keep up this positive momentum, the M's will be in good hands with upcoming series against the Yanks and Red Sox.
