Looks like he'll go right from collegiate heroics to the Motor City.

On Tuesday, the Detroit Tigers used the 79th overall pick in the third round of the 2018 MLB Draft to select Texas Longhorns infielder Kody Clemens, who is the son of former big league pitcher Roger Clemens.

Clemens had a big time season for the Longhorns this year, hitting .346 with 21 home runs and 68 RBI over 60 games. And if you haven't been paying attention, he's been a stud during the NCAA Tournament.

During an interview on the NESN broadcast, Roger Clemens wanted his son to be drafted by the Boston Red Sox. However, I'm sure he's just as thrilled with the end result for his son. Getting drafted, no matter the team, is an exciting moment for Kody and his entire family.

Now get back out there and keep hitting bombs to beat A&M.
