Kobe Bryant might not be a force on the court anymore, but his presence is still felt in the NBA world.

He won a Sports Emmy and an Oscar for his short film "Dear Basketball" and started his own show on ESPN titled "Detail."

Bryant continues to excel with his off-the-court endeavors, with the announcement of his book "The Mamba Mentality" coming in October of this year.

The book will feature introductions from former teammate Pau Gasol and former head coach Phil Jackson.

Bryant says the book will detail the process and craft of how he played the game, along with 20 years worth of photos.

First the announcement of Michael Jordan's documentary and now a book that will allow fans to get an inside look of Bryant's mentality throughout his career? This is an exciting time for NBA fans.

Be sure to have your calendars marked for Oct. 23, which is the official release date of Bryant's book.
